Dear Cricket

It's been a month since you aired live on television. You know that lame Australia vs New Zealand ODI behind close doors? It probably doesn't matter in the light of the larger events at play but it does matter to me and all the other cricket fanatics.

Indian summers have been synonymous with the IPL. To realise that it's halfway through April and the main topic of discussion is a virus and not the previous day's match feels odd, to say the least. This year's IPL was the big stage to finalize the T20 squads to compete in the T20 World Cup in Australia. But now we don't know when we'll return to normalcy, let alone when the World Cup will be held.

I know that this all sounds selfish given the situation at hand but we'd all be lying if we said that we weren't excited to watch our favourite players play. We were definitely waiting for all the fanfare and the high octane action. Fans could have seen MSD play after eight months. But all we got was re-runs of matches that we probably already know by heart.

I really hope that the quarantine ends soon and we get to have some fun.

Sincerely

Hey you

Really sorry for the late response. But, guess what? I am back! In all my former glory and splendor! In all three formats and a couple of new ones. See you at Old Trafford.

Love

Cricket

P.S. IPL is just a month away!!
